Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
Inspire: "Being inspired by the people around us"
"The teachers were super kind and supportive during the lockdown, the emphasis on support rather than learning pressure was great. The connection with the outdoors is great and the slightly different approach to learning - the school dog for example and the gardens. There seems to be a good ethos and good leadership from the top which spreads down." Parent Questionnaire May 2021
As a school we are mindful of, and comply with expectations of the SEN Code of Practice and Disability Discrimination Act as shown in our SEN/inclusion/accessibility plan.
Our Special Needs Co-Ordinators (SENCO) are Alison Dugdale (Headteacher) and Victoria Gooding (Senior Teacher).
We use different interventions and approaches to address specific areas of need and would look carefully at each child’s individual needs when deciding how best to support your child.
We have developed a Special Educational Needs Information Report which will give more information on how we support children with Special Educational Needs in our school.
